I feel like such a nerd for doing this but I’ve been taking a basic algebra class and it’s way below me in level, and well my mind wanders and I was thinking what it’d be like to solve a problem in more than 2 dimensions. This one’s in 3 since I don’t have a 3D software, and I use x, y, and t dimensions as in time.

So essentially this is an alternative to solving a three variable problem without using a matrix.

And in case you’re curious the equations are:

x+y-t=0

-x+2y-t=0

x-y-t=3

And yeah see if you get the same answer as the graph.

From my first foray into the world of RPG Maker, this was based on one of my character’s stories with certain things changed around, like names. This is just the opening, I almost had it to the first dungeon, but I decided I want to remake and and do it properly this time. I was just doing random things at a time on it.

I decided to uplaod it for the hell of it, and I think it’s a little more interesting than the other one, even if it needs some work.

Finally got the damn thing online, I actually finished this a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t figure out how to record off my computer, but I never figured it out so I had to use a camera, so it looks crappy. > < But c’est la vive.

I’d like to revise my last answer, cause I totally just had a flow moment, no lies. And the result was this.

Two questions (Even Later) by Robbie

vcunewmedia:

In the first video we watched last Thursday we saw Martin Seligman talk about three types of happy lives. 1. A pleasant life. 2. A life of flow (focused activity in which time seems to stop) and finally, 3.a life of meaning.

I want you to think of / describe a specific time in which you experienced “flow” or when you witnessed it in someone else. I’m very curious about this phenomenon. I think it must be very common, but too rarely looked into.

Your second question is unrelated to the first. What is an issue or concern that you have never seen addressed in a documentary….but would like/love to see? I think the “real” world is full of fascinating stuff. What are people in contemporary missing out on? If someone lists a subject that has a good documentary you are already aware of let them know about that documentary.

Thanks Justin

1.) Hmm, have I experienced flow? Well I’m sure I have, can’t really tell you when I did cause I don’t remember. ^ ^; But I do have memories of being so focused on one thing that, that was the only thing I could do/think about and eventually I lost track of time. Though thinking about it, this often happens when I’m reading a good book, but I don’t know if that counts as flow. I probably get it when I’m coloring something on the computer, and maybe when I’m drawing something particualrily enjoyable though lately I’ve been really distracted while drawing.

2.) As for what documentary I’d like to see, hmm, well that’s a tough one, there are already a ton of documentaries on the things I love to do/learn about. Maybe I’d like a show that shows you the history of a certain place and brings it into the future too, sort of like a time lapse thing with CG graphics and stuff. Just always kinda thought it’d be cool to see what a familiar place looked like before it was built or formed or what not and how it might look in the future.

Woo, finally got it uploaded, I think, well hopefully I got this to work. Of course my internet is still so crappy that I can’t view anyone’s videos. > < Oh well the Verizon guy should be over some time this week to switch us from Comcast to Verizon.

I needed a picture all that text was looking boring.
So yeah one of my friends, Aaron kept bugging me to be a real furry and have a fursona, and I was tired of it so I want to Sam and asked her to draw me one. I was originally not going to really have a fursona, and it was kinda just going to be a one time thing, but I fell in love with the guy and now he’s my fursona, which is just an anthro representation of myself. I also turned him onto a character as well named Robbie Hunt.

Two Questions

vcunewmedia:

Your questions from me….

1. Who are your biggest artistic influences? They don’t have to be visual artists. They can be poets, dancers, designers…..whatever. Please post a link for more information about them if you can. This is the start of our creative clearing house.

2. So far in class what artist or work has made the strongest impression on you, and why? I’m not so interested in whether you love it or hate it so much as whether it sticks with you. Sometimes that is a better indication of its worth then our knee-jerk reactions. The sign of an educated mind is the ability to mull over and reconsider a point from several perspectives. Let’s educate each other a bit.

I’d have to say that the biggest influence to my artwork would be the people I watch on dA and FA most particularly my best friend Sam. She’s an awesome artist who goes to SCAD, haven’t talked to her in awhile though cause her nets are teh sucks. Anyway we’ve done a couple collabs together where she draws and I color, and I’ve managed to pick up some things from her that I’ve used in my own style, actually I think our styles are getting kinda similar. XP Well kinda, they’re still different enough from each other. Anyway her art can be found here and here she’s awesome, watch her if you can.

As for what video we’ve seen that’s made the strongest impression on me, well that’s kinda hard for me to say. I guess I can remember that weird guy who was like making a YouTube video before YouTube, the best (course it was the last one we saw). It’s funny to think that if that had been made in this day and age it’d just be another video drifting on the YouTube sea, but because it was made way back when it was considered art.

About Me

Ok so some of the other people’s links about themselves were their Facebook and some where private, so my teacher told us to write a short thing about ourselves. So here goes:

My name’s Robbie, well actually Robert, but I don’t like that name. I also get called Theolis sometimes (it’s my main online name) and you can also call me Hunter, that one kinda came from my character/fursona Robbie Hunt who sometimes charades as a leopard named Hunter, cause he’s got a magic crystal that lets him do that. O:

Oh yeah speaking of which, I’m totally into rping, I love to do that. I’ve got tons of characters, most of which need to be rped (oh yeah that’s role playing for you laymen) and drawn . . , anyway, I don’t just make random characters who float around in the void of my mind, they actually all have stories and worlds of their own. Well not everyone has their own unique world and story, that’d be a pain to remember. I currently have four worlds and five stories in development, my first world is Terragaia and it has two stories, one starring my lab mutt Theolis and another starring well Robbie, it’s your typical modern fantasy world, kinda like Final Fantasy. M next world is an Egyptian based one called, Great Egypt, it has real world locations but magic and stuff, it stars a theif named Wat, he’s human. Then I have a world inspired by Star Fox, Metroid, and other sci-fi stuff like that, that world’s story follows a dingo star fighter pilot mercenary named Diego. And finally I have a newly developed, very steam punk world starring a tomboy mechanic girl that is unnamed as of now.

Ok so that’s not really about me . . , huh well ok I like video games, art, tv, riding my bike, um drawing, some movies, fantasy, some sci-fi, drawing, and other stuff. (Yes I said drawing twice, so shut up I like it). Hmm, I’m part British, so I have the whole British sarcasm going and I get the accent really easily, I’m also a plethora of other nationalities including Irish, Dutch, German, and possibly Cherokee Indian. Oh and I’m bisexual, and as of last Friday I have a boyfriend. He’s name is Josh, he’s cute, and a really great guy, we still haven’t met in real life yet, though don’t think he’s some random guy I found online, he’s actually a friend of a friend who I was introduced to last year and over the summer we grew closer to each other and fell in love. ^///^ Yeah kinda cheesy isn’t it, but I don’t care he’s great.

Hmm, I think I’ve said more than enough . . , oh did I mention I could be called a furry sometimes, well not in this post I guess. XP Anyway, I’m not one of those crazy furries who like wear fursuits and go to the conventions and stuff, I’m more normal in that regard, though half the time I don’t feel like one, so yeah. Now I’m done . . , I think . . , oh well I can’t think of anything else to say.

This is where I got my icon from by the way, just wanted to share, it’s a commission done by a very talented Brazilian artist named Bo-Gilliam, he drew my characters Theolis (the yellow dog) and Xano (the wolf) though he kinda drew them a little more buff, but who cares it’s a great pic.

First Post

Ok so, this is the second time I’ve had to make a blog. XP Wish I could just stay with the blogspot one, but oh well, this one’s for my Media Survey class.

Not sure what else to say, guess I should go get the link to one of my sites then.
